Bree McCarthy - Speech Pathologist
Bree is a certified practising speech pathologist with over 8 years experience in a range of paediatric settings, including several major children's hospitals across Australia.
Bree has particular experience and interest in the management of infants and children of all ages with feeding and swallowing difficulties, including early infant feeding challenges, oral motor difficulties, tube weaning, and swallowing difficulties in children with cerebral palsy. Bree has also worked with infants and children with a range of developmental speech and language difficulties, including infants born prematurely and children who have had a significant illness such as paediatric cancer.
Bree is passionate about working holistically with families to help their child reach their full potential in speech, language and feeding.
Bree has an interest in health in developing countries, and is currently completing postgraduate study in International Public Health through the University of Queensland.
Nova - Pet as Therapy
Nova is a 3-year-old Golden Labrador. She successfully passed Guide Dog training however lost confidence leading her owner in the absence of an experienced handler. Nova was therefore transitioned into the Guide Dogs Australia 'Pets as Therapy' program and joined us as a Therapy Dog. She is a sensitive dog who adores children and is incredibly gentle and intuitive. She is in the clinic and available to join appointments.
